Exclusive Ballooning , like everyone else, have been monitoring the global situation surrounding COVID-19 closely. Following the release of UK Government advice on the 16th March 2020 to avoid gatherings and crowded places as well as limiting unnecessary travel, Exclusive Ballooning and Goodwood have taken the difficult but appropriate decision to postpone the debut Goodwood Balloon Race until 2021.
This is not a decision that was taken lightly, but we must act in order to protect the health and wellbeing of the participating balloon teams as well as public attendees.
Exclusive Ballooning and Goodwood can only apologise for any inconvenience this will caused but we know you will understand and that this announcement will not come as any great surprise. No one is more disappointed than the team behind the event who have worked hard all winter and were set to bring some truly new and unique spectacles to ballooning this year. That said we will continue to work hard behind the scenes to ensure the debut of The Goodwood Balloon Race next year will not be one to miss.
Exclusive Ballooning and Goodwood wish to convey our gratitude to those who showed us support for this event. Pilots who were invited / confirmed their entries should refer to separate emails with regards to entry fees. In the meantime we hope you all remain safe and well and we look forward to seeing everyone at The Goodwood Balloon Race in 2021.
